They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” How many times have you found yourself saying that you will begin something tomorrow or next week or any day that wasn't today? I would bet on the answer, often. How many times would we be able to justify why we are choosing to wait? I would bet on the answer, not very often. So, why do we do it, why do we choose to procrastinate? Is it laziness? Is it the fact that pretending to want to make changes is enough to satisfy us or is it out of fear of failure?

12/18/2018 2 Comments A Few of my favorite personal development books ~ that won't make you wish you were napping insteadGrab your favorite drink, blanket and seat in the house and then curl up with a new favorite book. Here is my list of absolute top favorite reads (in no particular order). THE TRAVELER'S GIFT by Andy Andrews By the end of chapter two I was hooked and by the end of chapter three, I knew my life would forever be changed by this book. I know I said above that these books are in no particular order and I meant it. I meant it except for this book. This book is at the top of my list with the rest of them a distant second. This book is the book that holds the potential to change the world if everyone read it and implemented its practices. So how does it hold "world changing potential"? Because it brilliantly combines popular historical events with "Seven Decisions" that the main character and reader are asked to learn and take on for themselves. Now when I say historical events I am not talking boring textbook accounts here. No, I am talking about an incredible novel that follows our main character back in time where he personally witnesses these historical events in an attempt for him to gain a new perspective of his life and ultimately save his life. Not only does this book teach us to take responsibility for our lives and happiness, but it also includes an awesome tool at the end that will help you build the habit of implementing each decision into your daily life. 11/14/2018 0 Comments 8 Ways to Nourish YourselfWhen was the last time that you nourished yourself? Like shut EVERYTHING off: no people, no emails, no text notifications... and just did something for you?
There is nothing wrong with taking selfish moments here and there to recharge your batteries and fill up your own cup. Besides, it is impossible to fill another's cup if ours is empty. So as I sit here teaching myself how to successfully write a blog, my Spidey Senses have kicked in and are telling me that this is the perfect Segway into some relevant memes that represent the hilariousness of adults trying to get some "me time". The products are just the face powder and highlighter on the cheekbones. Stay with me guys, I am doing a whole make-up analogy thing here. A whole make-up analogy as I sit here with zero make-up on my own face which means that includes sad little eyebrows... Can I get an "Amen" for eyebrow filler!! Ok sorry, back on track.

Who knew it would take 33 years to start waking up. I mean don't get me wrong I wasn't TOTALLY asleep those first 3+ decades, but I definitely wasn't woke either.
